Randy D. Hauswirth

Randy D. Hauswirth – age 58, of Havelock, passed away, Saturday, February 13, 2010, at the Pocahontas Community Hospital in Pocahontas, Iowa.
Randy Dean Hauswirth was born October 18, 1951, at Emmetsburg, Iowa. He was the son of Ronald and Sharlene (Johnson) Hauswirth. He graduated from Havelock-Plover High School in 1970 and attended Iowa Lakes Community College in Emmetsburg. On July 15, 1972, Randy married Karen Stoulil in Pocahontas. The couple settled on a farm near Havelock. In 1977, they moved to the home place near Havelock.
Randy was a member of the Hope United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge and he served on the Havelock Fire Dept. Randy enjoyed camping and driving around. He loved farming and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Karen of Havelock; daughter, Rhonda (Matt) DeVries of Omaha, NE; sons, Kevin (Megan) Hauswirth of Havelock and Kristopher Hauswirth of West Des Moines; five grandchildren, Allison, Dylan, Devin, Drew and Halee; father, Ronald Hauswirth of Laurens; sister, Connie Hauswirth of Eden Prairie, MN and brother, Roger (Barb) Hauswirth of Havelock. Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Sharlene.
