Adam D. Allen, age 42, of Pocahontas, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024 near Algona, Iowa as a result of a motorcycle accident.

Adam Duane Allen was born on January 11, 1982, in Pocahontas, Iowa.  He was the son of Marv and Patti (Schott) Allen.  He graduated from Pocahontas HIgh School in 2000 and went on to attend Iowa Lakes Community College in Emmetsburg.  Adam was married to Amanda Ricklefs on September 7, 2002 and was blessed with three children, Drake, Liv and Camryn who were his everything and he was their rock.  In addition to farming and trucking with his father and son, Adam owned and operated a spraying business in the Pocahontas area.  His greatest pride and joy were his children.

Adam was a farmer from as soon as he could crawl and "farm" the carpet in the living room.  Adam was always up for anything and experiencing new things with his kids.  He could capture an entire room with a funny story and his infectious laugh. Adam was a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes. He loved spending time on the lake and sharing stories with friends.  Adam was a friend to all, always had time to lend a listening ear and was generous beyond measure.  Adam was kind, wise and a smart a$$.

Adam was a member of the Resurrection of our Lord Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Iowa Corn Growers Association.

Survivors include his children, Drake, Liv and Camryn all of Pocahontas; parents, Marv and Patti of Pocahontas; siblings, Annette (Vince) Roose of Waukee, Rachel (Liam) McHugh of Adel, Beth (Craig) Ohlhauser of Ely, MN and Pam (Brett) Russenberger of Adel; many nieces and nephews and too many friends to list.

Adam was preceded in death by his grandparents and an infant twin brother, Aaron.
