Aimee Cardwell, age 46 of Lake City, IA, passed away unexpectedly in her home on December 18, 2022.  Aimee was born in Tempe, AZ, on December 11, 1976, to parents Alan and Therese (Fagan) Mesik.  She grew up in Webster City, IA, where she attended grade school at Elm Park and later graduated high school from Lincoln High.  Aimee continued her education at Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City, IA, receiving her associate degree in applied science in physical therapy.

Aimee was married to Ryan Cardwell and blessed with three children: Jerika, Samuel, and Elizabeth. They later divorced.  Aimee worked as a physical therapist assistant with Bluestone Therapy.  She was also an artist and loved using her creative abilities to express herself. Aimee was devoted to her community and assisted at church with cooking for events.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Jerika Mesik, Samuel Cardwell, and Elizabeth Cardwell; mother Therese Whitmer and step-father Jon Whitmer of Fort Dodge, IA; siblings: Angie (Kirk) Kiger, Stephanie Cook, and Katie Fierstine; many other extended family members and friends.

Aimee was preceded in death by her father Alan Mesik and grandfather Fred Fagan.
