Allan Lee Minkler Jr., age 49, of Rolfe, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the Pocahontas Community Hospital in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Allan Lee Minkler Jr. was born July  28, 1976, in Pocahontas, Iowa. He was the son of Allan Sr. and Karen (Stearns) Minkler. Al was raised in Plover and graduated from the Pocahontas High School in 1995. Following graduation, Al entered the U.S. Navy where he served from 1995 to 1999. After his discharge, he returned to Iowa. On May 19, 2008, Al was united in marriage to Cathy Hamilton in Pocahontas. The couple settled in Rolfe. Al worked at various hog finishing operations in the area. He also mowed lawns, worked in manure spreading, worked at Pizza Ranch and was an aid for the Pocahontas school system. Al was also a hobby farmer, raising multiple livestock over the years.

Al was a member of Hope Church, the Rolfe Lions Club and was an EMT. He enjoyed gardening and canning, planting trees, playing cards, hunting and fishing, and collected match box cars, model tractors and micro machines.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy of Rolfe; children, Bryce Long of Lake Mills, Joe (Shelby) Minkler of Plover, Philip (Kaetlyn) Minkler of Ruthven; Braxton (Kindra) Long of Emmetsburg, Breyanne Minkler of Pocahontas and Abbie Minkler of Pomeroy; grandchildren, Wrenley and one on the way; mother, Karen Minkler of Plover; brother, Cory Minkler of Mallard; sister, Heather (Jesse) Beekman of Fort Dodge; mother-in-law, Linda Hamilton of Coalville, and many nieces and nephews.

Al was preceded in death by his father, Al Sr., and father-in-law, Ron Hamilton.
