Andrea Michelle ( Lockner ) Maxwell, age 45 of Madrid, IA, passed away
unexpectedly in her home following a brief illness on December 30, 2022.
Andrea was born in Fort Dodge, IA, on March 30, 1977, to parents Larry and
Ann Lockner . She grew up on farms near Twin Lakes and Lohrville, IA, where
she graduated from Rockwell City-Lytton high school with the class of
1995. After graduation, Andrea completed a degree in fashion merchandising.

In 2011, Andrea reconnected with her high school classmate, Ed Maxwell
and they became a couple. She became a "bonus mom" to Erica (6), Charlie
(5), and Leah (2). Ed and Andrea married in 2019, it was the first-ever
wedding at the gazebo during Lytton Gala Days. The ceremony was performed
by one of their favorite teachers, Brian Lantz, and was just perfect!

Andrea loved cooking and watching several of the cooking shows on TV.
She and Ed started their own beef jerky business together of which she was
most proud. She also created a Facebook page related to cooking, which
quickly grew to 3000 members. Andrea also loved motorcycles. She and Ed
enjoyed many trips, her favorite being their trip to Clinton, IA,
where they visited friends on "Ginger", their Harley.

Andrea was currently serving as an officer with The
Sleeping Angels Foundation and enjoyed many friendships through the
organization. She was also an avid ISU Cyclone fan and attended many home
games and trips to Kansas City to "Hilton South."

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Ed Maxwell of
Madrid, IA; children: Erica, Charlie, and Leah; parents Larry and Ann
Lockner of Lohrville, IA; brother Matthew of Ames, IA; father-in-law Dick
Maxwell of Iowa City, IA; sister-in-law Beth (Mark) Kutchen of Ames, IA;
brother-in-law Tom (Kate) Maxwell of Iowa City, IA; and many extended
family members and friends.
