Andrew K. Gisch, age 44, of Kearney, Nebraska, formerly of Laurens, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at his home in Kearney.

Andrew Kenneth Gisch was born October 7, 1978, in Pocahontas, Iowa. He was the son of Ken and Julie (Mohler) Gisch. Andrew graduated from the Laurens-Marathon High School in 1997. Following graduation, he worked for Positech as a Road Technician. He continued his education at Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, he then worked for the Albert City ethanol plant. In 2014, he earned a Bachelors of Science Degree, majoring in chemistry, from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake and was awarded the Clifford A. Rae Academic Award for Science, "Student of the Year". In 2017, Andrew began work for HorseTech in Laurens as a production manager. In 2019, he and his family moved to Kearney, Nebraska where he worked for KAAPA Ethanol in Ravenna as a production manager, which he did until his passing.

Andrew was a member of First Christian Church and was a Freemason. He had a passion for all things music, having played many instruments over the years, something he was proud to share with his daughters. He also held a passion for science and chemistry, and in his earlier years, he was a competitive swimmer. He loved riding his motorcycle, fishing, and above all else, spending time with his daughters.

Survivors include his daughters, Stella, Madelyn and Charlotte Gisch, all of Laurens; parents, Ken and Julie Gisch of Laurens; brother, Daniel (Carrie) Gisch of Laurens; nephews, Landon and Logan Gisch, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Andrew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Stella Mohler, and Andrew and Vonnie Gisch.
