Angie Stoulil, age 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Arlington Place in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Ruth Angela Wagner was born October 22, 1934, in Moorland, IA to Paul and Regina (McCarville) Wagner. As a child, her many activities consisted of playing saxophone in the Wagner Family Band at various dances, state conventions, & anniversaries. She was an active 4H member and participated in the Ft. Dodge High School band. Angie graduated from Ft. Dodge Senior High School in 1952. She attended St. Joseph College of Nursing in Sioux City and graduated in 1955.

She was united in marriage to Gean Stoulil of Pocahontas on February 11, 1956. They resided on the family farm north of Pocahontas for many years. They had 3 children, Rick, Rod, and Donna.

She began her career as the Director of Nursing for the Good Samaritan Home in Pocahontas and occupied the same position at the Pocahontas Manor Care Center. For 22 years she provided comfort & care for many patients and families.

Angie moved to California in 1986 where she & Gean managed a Senior Mobile home park in Redding, CA. for two years. They then moved to Woodland, CA where she became a Day Supervisor at Woodhaven Convalescent Hospital. While in California, they enjoyed many memorable outings with family & friends. They returned home to Iowa in 1994. Gean passed away in 2002, and Angie continued to live on the farm.

Angie was a member of Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church and the Catholic Ladies Society. She enjoyed caring for others and was a volunteer at the Pocahontas Hospital and the Hospice Board. In 2008 she received the Legion Auxiliary Governor's Award for her volunteer work. She was also a volunteer at the Rialto Theater in Pocahontas.

She was preceded in death by her parents Paul & Regina Wagner, husband Gean Stoulil, granddaughter Caroline Stoulil, brothers Louis & Gerald Wagner, and sister Betty Hathaway.

Angie is survived by her children Rick (Susan) Stoulil of Arnolds Park, Rod (Jane) Stoulil of Pocahontas, and Donna Stoulil of Pocahontas; grandchildren Marcus Stoulil, Jason (Lacey) Stoulil, Amy Stoulil, Megan (Jacob) Trachsel, Sarah (Graham) Rigby, Tyler Stoulil, Jeremy Stoulil, & great grandchild Penelope Rigby; her sister Colleen Carberry and brothers Geno (Sandy) Wagner and David Wagner. Angie had many nieces and nephews and was loved by all.

A life well lived and she will be sorely missed.
