Arlene K Webster - age 63, of Pocahontas, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at the Pocahontas Community Hospital in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Arlene Kay Tripp was born on September 8, 1958, in Emmetsburg, Iowa. She was the daughter of Alvie and Irene (Hessenius) Tripp. She was raised on a farm outside of Webb, Iowa where she was the baby of 5 brothers and 1 sister. She was educated in South Clay schools in Webb and Gillette Grove. When she was 14, she moved to Emmetsburg and attended Emmetsburg High School. She was united in marriage to William Webster in 1975. They had 2 daughters, Jenifer and Tina. They later separated and divorced in 1987. Arlene went on to raise her bonus children, Jenelle, Glenn, and Luke Muckey. She would always say she had twins because Luke and Tina were only 6 months apart. She owned the Royal Café for a few years. In 1994, she tragically lost her oldest daughter, Jeni in a car accident. Being the strong person she was, she continued to raise her youngest child. She was a single mother doing what she could for everyone. Arlene worked at many jobs to support her and her daughter. Arlene went back to school and got her GED and went to truck driving school where she got her CDL. She started working for Murphy Brown Feed Company driving feed truck. When she didn't like driving in the winter, she became Feed Dispatcher. Through Murphy's she met some amazing people. In 2019, she made her home in Pocahontas to be close to her daughter and grandchildren. She was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2020 and was cleared of cancer the beginning of 2021. Toward the end of 2021, she found out her cancer came back in both lungs. Arlene fought hard til the very end, but lost her battle with Pneumonia with her family by her side.

Arlene enjoyed flea markets, garage sales, camping and riding motorcycles, but she especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Tina (Brandon) Poncin of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Kaylynn and Morgan Reed, Brayden Cundiff, Josie Scalvini and Braxton Poncin; sister, Ilene (Darrell) Birchard of Dayton, OH; brothers, Dale (Bert) Tripp of Everly, IA and Arnold Tripp of Albert Lea, MN; many nieces, nephews, bonus children and her best friend, Dan Christians.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Lenord Pierce; daughter, Jenifer and siblings, Albert, Alan and Alvin.
