Betty Kaye Imhoff, the daughter of Albert H. and Adelaide R. {Werner} Buelt, was born on March 24, 1942, in Carroll, Iowa. Betty passed away at the Good Samaritan Society home in Manson, Iowa on March 15, 2025. Betty grew up near Sunken Grove northwest of Fonda and graduated from OLGC Catholic High School in Fonda, Iowa in 1960. She furthered her education at C. E. School of Commerce in Omaha with a secretarial certification. She began her career working for Union Casualty Insurance Company in Omaha in 1961.

She met husband-to-be Gary Imhoff in Omaha and they were married in Fonda on January 20, 1962. Betty was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lohrville, Iowa where she taught grade school catechism and was a member of Catholic Daughters. She was a member of the Lohrville Lioness Club, Lohrville Commercial Club, Lohrville High Booster Club, Co-host for the 1981 Lohrville Centennial Parade lineup, and served on the J.J. Hands Library board. Betty enjoyed golfing in the ladies' league at Gowrie and water aerobics at Lake City with her lady friends. Betty also ran a daycare in her home for many years after her youngest went to school.

Left to cherish Betty's memory are her husband of 63 years, Gary Imhoff of Lohrville, sons Randy (Melanie) Imhoff of Austin, TX, Brian (Paula) Imhoff of Des Moines, IA, Tim (Jennifer) Imhoff of Twinsburg, OH, and Todd (Debbie) Imhoff of Bellevue, NE. Grandchildren, Thomas, Tyler, Madeleine, Caroline, Elizabeth (Dawson) Riggs, Taylore, Noah, Tori, Jacob, and Ben Imhoff. Siblings, Ron (Ruth) Buelt of Warsaw, IL, Peggy (Ray) Wilson of Sioux Rapids, IA, Rick (Bonnie) Buelt of Fonda, IA, and Rhonda (Steve) Schoon of DeWitt, IA, along with several nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Addie Buelt, grandparents Herman and Elizabeth Buelt, Hugo and Kathryn Werner, parents-in-law Boyd and Irene Imhoff, siblings-in-law Buzz and Nancy Imhoff, Karen (Imhoff) Speich, Bob and Linda (Imhoff) Bethune, Dick and Peggy (Imhoff) Groff, and many aunts and uncles.
