Beverly "Babe" Mell, age 85, of Pocahontas, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023, at the Pocahontas Manor Care Center in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Private burial services will be held at a later date.

Beverly Ann Clark was born on October 19, 1937, in Pocahontas County, Iowa. She was the daughter of John and Bessie (Wade) Clark. She was educated in area schools.  Babe worked in the restaurant business for many years. In Pocahontas she operated the Cozy Café and then the Ideal Café. She married Richard "Dick" Mell. They lived in Polk City for several years before returning to Pocahontas. Dick passed away in 1995 and Babe continued to make her home in Pocahontas. In 2013, she moved to the Pocahontas Manor.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Joe Dahl and Tiffany Davenport and step-children, Christa Walderbach and Brian Mell.

Babe was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dick Mell; son, Mark Dahl; step-son, Trever Mell; sisters, Lucille Johnson and Maxine Johnson and brothers, Oakley Clark, Dean Clark, Warren Clark, Wilbur Clark and Kenneth Clark.
