Bruce Pedersen, age 56, of Lake City, Iowa, passed away at his home on Friday morning, April 3, 2026.  Bruce Elmer was born on July 19, 1969, to parents Paul and Cheryl (Christiansen) Pedersen in Atlantic, IA.  He grew up in Lake City, where he attended school.

On January 16, 1988, Bruce was united in marriage to Michele Grote in Sac City, IA.  This union was blessed with three children: Benny, Dylan, Randa, and honorary child Heather.  Together, they raised their family in Lake City, where Bruce worked for a construction company for 40 years.  In his free time, Bruce enjoyed motorcycles, music, vinyl records, gardening, darts, and model cars.  During the warmer months, Bruce could be found fishing and boating.  Most of all, he cherished his time spent with his family and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 38 years, Michele Pedersen of Lake City, IA; children: Benny (Megan) Pedersen of Lake City, IA, Dylan Pedersen of Lake City, IA, Randa (Clayton) Pedersen of Lake City, IA, Heather Green of Carroll, IA; grandchildren: Jace Pedersen, Stiles Pedersen, Pryce Pedersen, Gavin Pedersen, Ella Bellcock, Blayde Pedersen, Aria Brown, Myles Brown, Clayton J. Brown; mother Cheryl Pedersen of Lake City, IA; step-mother Jan Pedersen; siblings: Cindy Pedersen of Lake City, IA, Steve Pedersen of Council Bluffs, IA, and Lance Pedersen of Atlantic, IA.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Paul Pedersen; grandson Kyd Pedersen; mother-in-law Sandy Fritz; father-in-law Thomas Patach; grandparents: Marian and Elmer Pedersen, and Joyce and Kenneth Christiansen.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will start at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Lampe and Powers Funeral Home in Lake City, Iowa. Celebration of Life Service will be 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Lampe and Powers Funeral Home in Lake City, Iowa.
