Carol A. Nehman - age 76, of Fonda, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at the Loring Hospital in Sac City, Iowa.

Carol Ann Thompson was born on April 30, 1943, on the family farm near Northwood, Iowa. She was the daughter of Olaf and Wilma (Gentz) Thompson. She graduated from Northwood-Kensett High School in 1961. On October 28, 1961, Carol was united in marriage to Darvin Nehman in Northwood, Iowa. The couple settled on the family farm near Fonda where they farmed and raised their family. After her children were raised, Carol worked as a CNA at the Pomeroy Care Center for many years. She went on to earn her LPN from Iowa Central Community College and continued working as an LPN at the Pomeroy Care Center for several years. Carol then began working at the Fonda Care Center as an LPN where she was employed for over 20 years.

Carol was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and was active in the Ladies circle. She enjoyed wintering in Texas with Darvin and traveling to many country music festivals. Carol loved her job at the Fonda Care Center and helping at Denise's flower shop. She especially loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Darvin; son, Randall (Brenda) Nehman of Fonda; daughter, Denise Nehman of Fonda; four grandchildren, Tiffany (Joel) Bodholdt of Fonda, Dylan Nehman of Fonda, Bobbie (Isaac) Richter of Storm Lake and Amber Nehman of Fonda; a great-granddaughter, Chloe Bodholdt and brothers, Marvin (Diane) Thompson of Sparta, WI, Dennis (Donna) Thompson of Glenville, MN, Dale Thompson of Grafton, IA and Calvin (Sandy) Thompson of Osage, IA.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Gladys Thompson; infant sons, Brian and Shawn and infant granddaughter, Madison.
