Carole "Jeannie" (Karn) Fahan, lost her fight on Sunday, May 14 ^th, 2023 at the UnityPoint Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, IA. Jeannie was born on January 12 ^th, 1944 to Don and Marlyn Karn in Webster City, Iowa. It seems Don had a furlough back in April of 1943.

Jean grew up in Lake City going to school here and playing a mean game of basketball during high school and her 2 years of college.

She also taught many young kids how to swim while working at the pool for 6 years. The last 4 of which were as manager.

Jean married Gary Fahan on January 31 ^st, 1965. To this marriage, three girls were born all athletes in their own right. Jean loved and was the best bridge player in the area. She was taught by the best, her mother. I would bet there is a game going on in heaven right now.

Jean also loved the game of golf. Many rounds were played in Lake City and in Carroll. What can you say about a life well lived and enjoyed?

Jean leaves behind her husband Gary, Daughters Jennifer (Damian) Houk, Deanna (Jared) Burns, and Michelle. Also 5 Grandsons and a Granddaughter. Plus, many friends and relatives.

A Celebration of life is planned for Friday, July 7 ^th at the Lake City Union Church starting at 12 pm.
