Cheryl A. Lampe, age 70, of Spirit Lake, formerly of Pocahontas, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at her daughter's home in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Cheryl Ann Frey was born June 4, 1952, in Sibley, Iowa. She was the daughter of Richard and Evelyn (Klatt) Frey. She graduated from Sibley High School in 1970 and then worked as a waitress in the area. On January 10, 1974, Cheryl was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Lampe in Sioux Falls, SD. The couple lived in Ashton where Cheryl continued working as a waitress. In 1989, they moved to Pocahontas. Cheryl worked at Coast to Coast as a clerk and then for the Pocahontas County Sheriff's Office as a dispatcher. She retired in 1995 due to poor health. In 2016, when Bob retired, they moved to Spirit Lake.

Cheryl was very active in the LEMS (Lambert Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome) Support Group and was one of its longest known survivors. She enjoyed bowling, socializing on her computer and having teatime. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her dog, Suzie.

Survivors include her children, Cory Lampe of Humboldt; Travis (Janet) Lampe of Emmetsburg; Jamie Ferguson of Pocahontas and Carrie (Brian) Bunda of Pocahontas; step-daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Fox of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Hailey, Kala, Taelyn, Madison, Jacob, Katelyn, Riley, Jenna, Carley and Aubrey; beloved dog Suzie and many nieces and nephews.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; a brother, Bob Frey and a nephew, Robert Frey Jr.
