Christina Lynn Schoon, age 44, of Clive, Iowa, formerly of Pomeroy, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at MercyOne Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. Christina battled leukemia for over a year, but passed away due to fungus in her lungs.

Christina Lynn Schoon was born March 15, 1980, to Gary Schoon and Donette (Clark) Schoon in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Christina was confirmed in St. John Lutheran Church in Pomeroy and graduated from Pomeroy-Palmer High School in 1998. She then went to AIB and earned her administrator assistant degree. She went to Simpson College following AIB and earned her Bachelor of Arts. Following her education, she stayed in Des Moines. Christina Worked in Bank Fort Des Moines for 5 years and TMG (The Member Group) for 15 years.

Christina loved cheer leading, football and basketball for 4 years in high school. She loved her family and would do anything for them. She also loved going camping at Twin Lakes and going to the State Fair with friends. She also loved movies, going to the theater with friends and had a large movie collection herself. She loved music, having been to lots of concerts, and when cleaning her apartment, she would always turn it up! She enjoyed dancing to songs when nobody was watching. She loved dressing up for Halloween, where at work there would be contests and Christina's team would be number one.

Survivors include her mother, Donette Schoon from St. Croix, VI; 5 aunts; 5 uncles, and 35 cousins.

Christina was preceded in death by her father, Gary Schoon; her grandparents, Donald and Dorthy Clark and John and Catherine Schoon; 4 uncles; 3 aunts, and 3 cousins.
