Clifford E. Hendrix, age 76, of Rolfe, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at the Pocahontas Community Hospital in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Clifford Eugene Hendrix was born May 18, 1948, in Springfield, Missouri. He was the oldest of nine children to Clifford J. and Maxine (McCord) Hendrix. Cliff was raised in Springfield and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1966. Following high school, he was drafted in the U.S. Army. Cliff later married Renee Jacks in Logan, Iowa. To this union a son, Clifford William, was born. Cliff worked in roofing and construction most of his life in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He also worked for Warren Oil Distribution, and lived in numerous places during his life, but mostly in Council Bluffs. He retired at age 63. He had been living in Rolfe for the past 16 years.

Cliff loved fishing, hunting and many other outdoor activities. He enjoyed having a few drinks with family and friends, and collected coins and had an interest in astronomy. Cliff also enjoyed supporting community events and activities, including law enforcement.

Survivors include his son, Clifford W. Hendrix of Council Bluffs; brothers, Jack and Billy Hendrix; sisters, Peggy West, Coral Hiers, Wanda Byrd, Sandra Townsend and Patricia (Teto) Kephart, and many nieces and nephews.

Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford J. and Maxine Hendrix, and a sister, Belinda Dahlke.
