Clinton A. Fogde – age 96, of Pocahontas, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Arlington Place in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Clinton Arthur Fogde was born on February 12, 1925, in Richmond Heights, Missouri. He was the son of Arthur and Bernice (Holland) Fogde. Clint attended grade school in Webster Grove, Missouri and graduated from Springfield High School in 1942. After high school, he attended military school and served as a navigator and pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946. He graduated from Cornell College in 1948. On June 16, 1946, Clint was united in marriage to Arlene Alberts in Pocahontas, Iowa. The couple lived in Kankakee, IL where Clint owned and operated a bulk plant. They then lived in Janesville, WI, Cedar Falls, Fort Dodge and Okoboji before settling in Pocahontas. Clint worked at Land-O-Lakes in Fort Dodge until his retirement in the 1980s. During retirement, Clint farmed near Pocahontas and Graettinger. Arlene passed away in 2005 and Clint continued to make his home in Pocahontas.

Clint was a member of the Hope United Methodist Church, where he held many positions. He was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a 32 ^nd Degree Mason. Clint served on the Eldebridge Board and SAE (Society of Automotive Engineering). He enjoyed storytelling and collecting toy tractors.

Survivors include his daughters, Christina Brown of Red Wing, MN and Linda (Richard) Bender of Anchorage, AK; 3 grandchildren, Dr. Shannon Menard, Joshua Brown and Katheryn Bender and two great-grandchildren, Spenser and Charlotte Menard. Clint was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Arlene and a sister, Virginia Bolton.
