Colleen M. Phillips, age 91, of Laurens, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Arlington Place in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Colleen Marie Edmonds was born January 6, 1933, in Laurens, Iowa.  She was the daughter of Lowell and Ardis (Oleson) Edmonds.  Colleen attended grade school in Laurens and graduated from Laurens High School in 1950.  On January 28, 1951, Colleen was united in marriage to Donn Phillips in Laurens.  The couple settled in the Laurens area where they raised their family.

For many years Colleen had a successful career in real estate. She enjoyed interacting and helping members of the community.

Colleen was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Laurens Golf & Country Club, and multiple bridge clubs.  She was a past member of the Bethany Lutheran Morning Circle, Women's Club and Good Fellowship Club.

Survivors include her son, Thomas (Renee) Phillips of Laurens; her daughters, Debra (David) Liljedahl of Cedar Rapids, IA and Jane (Dennis) Rigby of Marion, IA; sister Janet Convy of Milford IA; grandchildren, Jennifer (Brandon) Cain, Anne (Ryan) Jerred, John Rigby and Mark Rigby; step-grandchildren, DeaDra (Mark) Jeter, Carl (Melissa) Brent and Vanessa (Henry) Harder; 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and special nieces and nephews.

Colleen was proceeded in death by her husband, Donn; daughter, Linda Susan Phillips; parents, Lowell and Ardis Edmonds; special aunts, Esther and Helen Edmonds and her brother, William Edmonds.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Bethany Lutheran Church, any Veterans' organization or your local Humane Society.
