Dalton Arends - age 24, of Laurens, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020, at his home in Laurens, Iowa.

Dalton Brian Michael Arends was born on April 22, 1996 at Spencer, Iowa. He was the son of Mike Arends and Echo Alexander. He graduated from Laurens-Marathon Community School in 2014.

Dalton was into drawing and music. He lived in northern California briefly. Dalton's proudest moment was the birth of his daughter, Odessa.

Survivors include his daughter, Odessa King of Ruthven; parents, Echo Alexander of Laurens and Mike Arends of Pocahontas; brothers, Gunnar Arends and Cage Arends both of Pocahontas; sister, Ataya Arends of Laurens; grandparents, Brian Alexander of Laurens and Leslie Morris of Danville; great-grandparents, Teresa Alexander of Fort Dodge and Larry and Dorothy Kirby of Moulton, IA; and many additional family members.

Dalton was preceded in death by his biological father, Travis Snavely; grandparents, LeRoy and LaVonne Arends and great-grandfather, Bruce Alexander.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Dalton's memory at West Iowa Bank.  Please make memorials to Echo Alexander.
