Dan J. Stall – age 65, of Palmer, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022, at his home near Palmer, Iowa.

Daniel Jeffrey Stall was born on January 24, 1957, in Des Moines, Iowa. He was the son of Eldon and Donna (Towns) Stall. Dan graduated from Palmer High School in 1975 and went on to study Ag. at Iowa State University. After college, Dan joined his father in the family farm operation. In the mid 1970's, Dan also began working for Karl Bilskemper Painting and eventually took over the painting business in the mid 1980's. On August 31, 1991, Dan was united in marriage to Donna Jepsen at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manson. The couple settled on their farm near Palmer where Dan continued to farm and operate his painting business. He retired from painting in the mid 2000's and continued to farm.

Dan was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he served on the church and cemetery boards. He also served and held offices on the boards of the Palmer Telephone Co., Palmer Centennial Committee, Palmer Conservation Club and Prairie Faith Partners. Dan enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting guns and riding his Harley and he loved farming and going on family vacations.

Survivors include his wife, Donna of Palmer; son, Mason of Palmer; parents, Eldon and Donna Stall of Palmer; siblings, David (Jodi Flaherty) Stall of Palmer, Diane (Kenny) Sandy of Waukee, Duane (Janie) Stall of Sioux Falls, SD and Daryl Stall of Waukee. Dan was preceded in death by his infant son, Lucas.
