Darlene G. Kroska - age 92, of Pomeroy, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020, at the Pomeroy Care Center in Pomeroy, Iowa.

Darlene Grace Behrends was born on October 1, 1927 in Pomeroy, Iowa. She was the daughter of Ben and Mable (Passow) Behrends. She was baptized and confirmed at the Immanual Lutheran Church in Pomeroy. She attended the Lutheran Parochial School and graduated from Pomeroy High School in 1946. She married Eldon Wrede on August 17, 1947 and they made their home at Dayton. To this union was born a son, Pat and daughter, Linda. They later parted ways and she returned to Pomeroy where she met and married Darwin Kroska on June 27, 1970. To this union was born a son, Duane.

Darlene enjoyed being a housewife, mother and attentive daughter to her aging parents. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers and going for walks. She was a long time member of the United Methodist Church in Pomeroy and Ladies Aide.

Survivors include her children, Pat (Linda) Wrede of Fort Dodge, Linda (Jack) Ausborn of Ida Grove and Duane Kroska of Orlando, FL and step-daughter, Rhonda (Jim) Olson of Fort Dodge. She also leaves behind a brother, Lester Behrends of Siren, WI and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Laverna, Deva, Dale, Don (in infancy) and Virgil; step-daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Dennis Walters and daughter-in-law, Julie Kroska.
