David Mohr, age 70 of Lake City, IA, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at his home in Lake City.  David Duane Mohr was born on March 23, 1954, to parents Lester and Dorthy (Hamilton) Mohr.  He grew up in Lake City where he graduated from Lake City High School.  After graduation, David began working as a construction laborer.  Later, he worked as a car detailer at Macke Motors in Lake City and Adams in Denison, IA.

On December 24, 2012, David was united in marriage to Janice Rogers.  In his free time, David enjoyed going golfing, grilling, gardening, and yard work.  He was a diehard ISU and Kansas City Chief fan! David liked visiting with community members and spending his time with his family and grandkids.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children: Marcia Simons of Carroll, IA, Dodi Nepple of Carroll, IA, David Mohr Jr. (Amanda) of Johnston, IA, Matt (Cindy) Mohr of Scranton, IA, Crystal (Mike) Rice of Scranton, IA, Amber (Jeremiah) Hoyt of Anamosa, IA, and Randal (Lynette) Rogers of Lake City, IA; 29 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings: Gene (Della) Mohr of Lake City, IA, Jan Snyder of Lanesboro, IA, Peg (Lowell) Stoolman of Rockwell City, IA, and Ron Mohr of Lake City, IA.

David was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Dorthy Mohr, spouse Janice Mohr, grandson Samuel Charles Hoyt, son-in-law Scott Nepple, brothers Gary and Rich Mohr, and sister Leta Millis.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at the Lampe & Powers Funeral Home in Lake City, IA. A Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., Friday at the Lampe & Powers Funeral Home in Lake City, IA. The burial will occur in the Cottonwood cemetery in rural Lake City, IA.
