Debra K. Hohensee, age 72, of Pocahontas, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Society in Holstein, Iowa.

Debra Kay Hansen was born on October 4, 1953, in Storm Lake, Iowa. She was the daughter of Donald and Nadine (Campbell) Hansen. She graduated from Storm Lake High School in 1972 and went on to Patricia Stevens Flight Attendant School in Omaha, graduating in 1973. Deb worked in Storm Lake at the Villager as a waitress and that's where she met Ron.  On September 6, 1975, Debra was united in marriage to Ronald Hohensee in Storm Lake, Iowa. The couple resided in Storm Lake where Deb worked as a Bank Teller. They then lived in Hobbs, Minnesota for several years. In 1984, Ron and Deb moved to Pocahontas where Deb did in home daycare. She retired from daycare in the early 2000's.  Ron passed away in 2004, and Deb continued to reside in Pocahontas. She worked for several years at Caseys and then the Family Table. At the family table she met James Craig and they were later married. They enjoyed taking trips together. James passed away in 2020.

Deb was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. She loved being a caregiver over the years and traveling.

Survivors include her children, Eric Hohensee of Gilbert, AZ, Christi (Charles) Bortkun of Gilbert, AZ and Kyle Hohensee of Graettinger; 2 grandsons, Aaron and Landon; sisters, Donna (Frank) Kliegl of Emmetsburg and Diane Hansen of Omaha, NE and several nieces and nephews.

Deb was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Ron and James.
