Dennis Gene Hudson, age 86, peacefully passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, at his home in Laurens, Iowa.

Dennis was born June 19th, 1939, in Rolfe IA, his parents were Roger and Bernice (Truelson) Hudson. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mallard, IA. He went to school at Des Moines Township. He was united in marriage to Patricia Imhoff, and to that union, 7 children were born. Though that marriage ended, Dennis later married Bonnie (Attwooll) Olson, in 1984. They enjoyed 42 years of life, love & laughter. He worked over the years for different farmers in the Laurens, Rolfe, Mallard, Pocahontas and Odebolt areas. He retired in Rolfe, then he & Bonnie moved to Laurens, IA to Homestead in 2023. Dennis enjoyed his visits with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He especially enjoyed his coffee travels to his children's houses which later turned into his children bringing the coffee to him.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie of Laurens, children Penny (Clair Rubel Jr.) of Curlew, Dean (Dawn) Hudson of Ruthven, Curt (Lorie) Hudson of Laurens, Joni (Kenny Bentsen) of Sac City and Craig (Jodie) Hudson of Laurens, step-daughter Kristi Coffin of Plymouth, MN, sister Deanna (Blake) Grundmeier of Fort Dodge, IA, 19 grandchildren and 21 plus great-grandchildren.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Douglas, son Jeff, granddaughter Amy Hudson, sisters Janet (Darrell) Cronbaugh and Avis (Paul) Gregerson, step-sons Randy Olson and Dan Olson, and step-son-in-law Dan Coffin.
