Dennis D. Stover - age 85, of Pocahontas, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019, at the Pocahontas Community Hospital in Pocahontas, Ia.

Dennis Dale Stover was born on August 10, 1934 in Havelock, Iowa. He was the son of Dale and Violet (Brazier) Stover. Dennis graduated from Havelock High school in 1952 and went on to serve in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958. On October 6, 1956, Dennis was united in marriage to Anna Clausen at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mallard, Iowa. The couple settled in Pocahontas. Dennis worked at the Havelock Elevator for several years. He then worked for F.S. in Pocahontas in the Farm Fertilizer and supply business. He later worked for IMC and then Arco, retiring in 1996. In the late 1980's Dennis began working for Howard Shimon Ford and then Pocahontas Ford.

Dennis was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he was active in the Fellowship Club, Layman League and the church board serving as secretary-treasurer. He was also a member of the Havelock AmVets. Dennis enjoyed golfing, hunting, watching sports and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Survivors include his wife, Anna of Pocahontas; sons, Steve Stover of Fredericks, CO and Rick (Marcia) Stover of Grimes; 5 grandchildren, Libby (Philip) Watts, Kim (Devon) Elmarr, Ashley (Loren) Trimble, Aaron (Hillary) Stover and Amy (Ben) Lortz; 5 great grandchildren, Stella and Maelee Watts, Luke and Samantha Lortz and Miles Trimble.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Violet Stover.
