D on ald G. Boughey - age 83, of Pocahontas, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020, at the Accura Healthcare of Aurelia, Iowa.

Donald Glen Boughey was born March 19, 1936, in Milford, Iowa. He was the son of Glen and Nylene (Richards) Boughey. Don graduated from Laurens High School in 1956 and went on to attended Hamilton Business College from 1966 to 1968. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959 until 1961. On March 31, 1962, Don married Florence Rouse in Yankton, South Dakota. The couple lived near Pocahontas for several years before locating to Mt. Auburn. In 1996, they moved to Ventura where Don worked at Winnebago in Forest City. In 1973, they moved to Forest City for one year then returned to Pocahontas to farm for Robert Kordik. In 1983, Don took a state job with the DOT retiring in 1998.

Don was a member of the United Methodist Church. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and walking his dog, Buster.

Don is survived by his wife, Florence; children, Rodney (Melinda) Boughey of Little Elm, TX, Diana (Rick) Post of Kentucky and Danita (Jim) Griep of Schaller, IA; three grandchildren; brothers, Norman Boughey of Rembrandt, IA and Alan (Marge) Boughey of Sioux Center, IA.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Nylene; his daughter, Donna Brisbois; brothers, Wayne and Dave Boughey and a sister, Betty Henderson.
