Donnie Mohr age 64 of Canistota, SD, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Society in Canistota, SD.  Donnie Ervin Millis was born on April 19, 1960, to parents John and Lillian (Meitner) Millis in Deadwood, SD, his parents later divorced. Donnie's mother Lillian married Ron Mohr and in 1967 Ron adopted him as his own.  Later in life, Donnie enlisted to serve his country in the United States Army.

In 1984, Donnie was united in marriage to Xandria Valencia.  This union was blessed with a son, Donnie.  They later divorced.  He worked many years in the oil fields in Gillette, WY, and finished his working career as a crane operator from 1988 to 2017. In his free time, Donnie enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycles, and helping people.  He also gained the nickname "birdman" from raising songbirds and parrots for 23 years.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son Donnie Mohr of California; granddaughter Victoria Rose Mohr; father Ron Mohr and biological father John Millis; siblings: Eddie (Paula) Mohr of Lake City, IA, Donna Johnson of Lanesboro, IA, Jaime Millis and many extended family members and friends.

Donnie was preceded in death by his mother Lillian Mohr and grandparents John & Ruby Meitner, Lester & Dorthy Mohr, and Rosco & Helen Millis.
