Doreen Mohr, age 75, of Iowa Falls, IA, formerly of Lake City, IA, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls, IA.  Doreen Marie was born on April 16, 1951, to parents Robert and Lois (Slechta) Holdworth.  She grew up in Manilla, IA, where she attended school until her junior year and graduated from Denison High School in Denison, IA.  While in high school, Doreen worked at the drug store in Denison, participated in track and basketball, and loved traveling with her parents in their Winnebago.

On July 19, 1991, Doreen married the love of her life, Robert Joe Mohr, Sr., in Carroll, IA.  She worked several jobs throughout her life, including housekeeping at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll and then worked at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City in the housekeeping department for 21 years, retiring in 2014.  Doreen cherished her time spent with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.  She enjoyed raising chickens, Training bird hunting dogs, watching hummingbirds, listening to music, especially Celine Dion, dancing, skeet and fall game shooting, and always remembered traveling to Alaska with her parents and traveling to Georgia with Amber from Girl Scouts.  After retirement, you could find Doreen having breakfast at Sweet Things most mornings and enjoying her friends.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Mischelle (Ralph) Hardy of Radcliffe, IA, Jared (Marian) Mohr of Sac City, IA, Bobby (Tammy) Mohr of Glidden, IA, Joey (Kristine) Mohr of Mountain Lake, MN, Amber (Jamie) Mohr of Iowa Falls, IA; Siblings: Robert (Linda) Holdsworth jr., and Loren Holdsworth; Grandchildren: Jessica (Troy), Elyse (Tanner), Jasmine (Omar), Miranda (Lowell), Noah, David (Bridgette), Justine (Garrett), Eli, Nathan, Colton, Shyla (Mason), Savannah (Wyatt),  Logan, Trystan, and Khloe; great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Brayden, Christian, Jaycee, Raelynn, Hailey, Wyatt, Hudson, Briley, Abby, Jared, Xavier, Aaron, Mallory, Oaklyn, Summit, Titan.

Doreen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents Robert Sr. and Lois Holdsworth; brother-in-law Bill Mohr; grandparents: Leonard (Margaret) Holdsworth and Jerome (Ernestine) Slechta.

Graveside Service will be at 10:30 am Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Auburn, IA.
