Dorothy A. Latimer, age 84, of Pocahontas, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Accura Healthcare of Pomeroy, Iowa.

Dorothy Agnes Lieb was born on April 17, 1939, near Pocahontas, Iowa. She was the daughter of Cletus and Eunice (Stelpflug) Lieb. Dorothy attended country school then graduated from the Sacred Heart High School of Pocahontas in 1957. Dorothy moved to Des Moines shortly after graduation where she worked as a nurse aid in a hospital. She then worked at NW Bell in Des Moines. In 1961, she moved to Missouri where she lived until 1971 when she returned and settled in Pocahontas.

Dorothy was a member of Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church and the Catholic Ladies Society. She received 4 leader dogs from the Iowa Lions Club which she dearly appreciated. Dorothy loved the Iowa Hawkeyes, going on walks, books on tape, cooking and time spent with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Debra Goodlaxson, Denna (Boyd) Steger, Mary Latimer and Rich (Karen) Latimer; 8 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, and siblings, Joan Wilber, Judy Peterson, Dean Lieb and Mary Catherine Phillips.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert "Bob" Latimer and a brother, Richard "Dick" Lieb.
