Edna J. Thierry - age 79, of Rolfe, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020, at the Humboldt Care Center North in Humboldt, Iowa.

Edna Juanita Lewis was born on November 17, 1940, at Blakely, Georgia. She was the daughter of James and Ethel (Lewis) Lewis. She was educated in Blakely schools. Edna spent most of her life in the Columbus, Georgia area, where she worked and raised her family. In 2018, Edna moved to Rolfe, Iowa to live near her son, Russell.

Edna was the last of her generation, a strong and proud woman who loved to help people. She enjoyed crocheting and playing cards with her family and friends.

Survivors include her two sons, Charles (Patricia) Thierry of Morrisville, PA and Russell (Jennifer) Thierry of Rolfe and many grand and great-grandchildren.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Hugh and Bud and three sisters, Jane, Dorothy and Peggy.

Services will be held at a later date.
