Edward A. Schnetter – age 83, of Pocahontas, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at the Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Edward Anton Schnetter was born on April 3, 1936, near Varina, Iowa. He was the son of Nicholas and Lillian (Anton) Schnetter. Ed attended St. Columbkille High School in Varina, Iowa. After high school he worked on the family farm for several years. Ed then worked for many years near Sac City at a cattle feeding operation. Later, Ed was employed at the Bil Mar Turkey Processing plant near Storm Lake, where he worked until retiring in 1996.

Ed was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church. He enjoyed being outdoors and walking around town.

Survivors include his sisters, Darlene Pruter of Coon Rapids and Lucille Gamble of Pocahontas; brothers, James (Vicki) Schnetter of Tucson, AZ and Leonard (Debra) Schnetter of Pocahontas; several nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Mal Schnetter of Alta and Karen Schnetter Huhn of Coon Rapids.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bob and Dennis Schnetter and one sister, Katleen Schnetter.
