Eldon "Butch" Clark, age 78, of Pocahontas, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Eldon Roger Clark was born on April 22, 1945, in Pocahontas, Iowa. He was the son of Oakley and Dorothy (Schossow) Clark. He graduated from Pocahontas High School in 1963. Butch worked for Reanie Trucking for several years. In 1965, he began working for the City of Pocahontas in the maintenance department. On June 28, 1975, Eldon was united in marriage to Paula Thies in Pocahontas. The couple settled in Pocahontas where they lived and raised their family. Butch continued to work for the city, retiring in 2003, as Supervisor.

Butch was a member of Hope Church in Pocahontas. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. He enjoyed gardening and in his younger years he enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Paula of Pocahontas; daughters, Crystal Letien of Royal, Julia (Bob) Shearer of West Des Moines and Susan (Joe) Dardar of Georgetown, SC; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; sisters, Jeanice Kerns of Britt, Lorraine (Ron) Eckman of Fort Dodge and Bonita Helmers of Perry and a brother, Dennis (Deb) Clark of Perry.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Roland Hohensee and brothers-in-law, Ron Helmers and Larry Kerns.
