Elizabeth (Liz) Mary Dunbar, 49, of Laurens, Iowa, passed away on December 15th 2025 at her home in Laurens, Iowa.

A visitation will be held on Friday December 19th, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Powers Funeral Home in Laurens, Iowa. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 20th, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Whiting Christian Church in Whiting, Iowa.

Elizabeth was born on September 23rd, 1976 in Omaha, NE. She grew up and graduated high school in Whiting, Iowa. Elizabeth went on to complete the Radiologic Technologist program at Marian Health Center and St Luke's Regional Medical Center which eventually simply became St Luke's Hospital.

Liz lived and worked within the Siouxland area for over 15 years, and then moved to Laurens, Iowa in 2015. After moving to Laurens, she worked for the United States Postal System, and both Pocahontas and Sac City hospitals as an X-Ray Technician.

During her free time, Elizabeth enjoyed spending quality time with her partner, Charles, her children, her treasured grandson, and her beloved cats. Additionally, she was a large advocate for Women's Rights, Science, and Medical Advancement.

Survivors include her loving partner Charles Harrold of Laurens, Iowa; children, Catherine (Christopher) Birk of Spokane, Washington, Grace Dunbar of Kansas City, Missouri, and Isaiah Dunbar of North Sioux City, South Dakota; grandchild, Barron Birk of Spokane, Washington; brother, Matthew Dunbar of Sioux City, Iowa; father, Norman Dunbar of Whiting, Iowa; along with other loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Pamela (Baker) Dunbar.
