Else Timmons – age 81, of Humboldt, formerly of Rolfe, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at the Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines, Iowa.

Else Necker was born April 4, 1940 in Germany. She was the daughter of Andreas and Berte (Necker) Necker. She was educated in schools in Germany and then worked as a secretary and translator. On August 5, 1966, Else was united in marriage to Roland Timmons Jr. at Newport News, VA. During Roland's service in the U.S. Army, the couple lived at multiple bases throughout the world. After Roland retired from the Army in 1974, the couple lived in Florida before settling in Rolfe. Else worked as a secretary and tool crib attendant at Iowa Industrial Hydraulics near Pocahontas for 22 years. Roland passed away in 1992 and Else continued to make her home in Rolfe. In 2018 she moved to Humboldt, Iowa.

Else enjoyed reading, crocheting blankets, gardening, raising flowers, canning, going on walks and was a dedicated caregiver. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters, Christiane (David) Sandeen of Norfolk, VA, Mary Lou Timmons of Wall Lake, IA and Barb (Raymond) Brown of Raleigh, NC; six grandchildren, Adam, Andrew (Jessica), Jason, Justin (Cabria), Danielle and Nicholas; three great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Aria and Alexander; a sister, Berte Koch of Germany; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Else was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roland and a brother, Andreas.
