Garry L. Colee – age 81, of Pocahontas, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021, at his home in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Garry Lee Colee was born January 11, 1940, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was the son of Stanley and Isabelle (Hacker) Colee. Garry graduated from the Havelock High School in 1958. After high school, he worked with his father, Stanley, in Havelock operating their hog buying station and trucking operation. He was married to Elaine Sernett of Pocahontas, Iowa, and later divorced. The couple settled in Pocahontas. Garry was employed by First Coop, then Pro Coop in the Petroleum Department, retiring after 25 years of service. He enjoyed working with the farmers over the years.

Garry was a member of the Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church. He especially loved watching races, Husker Football, polka music and driving on roadtrips. Garry enjoyed his experience with Brad when the Colee name was etched in stone at the University of Nebraska Osborne Complex.

Survivors include his children, Brian (Kim) Colee of Orchard, Brenda (Rich) Travis of Galva and Brad (Ashley) Colee of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Tyler (Madi), Ava, Emmy, Justin (Katie) and Jamie (Jacob); and siblings, Alvin "Butch" Colee of Havelock, Sharon (Richard) Garner of Pocahontas, Chris Campidilli of Humboldt, Delores Wade of Henderson, NV, Nancy (Darrel) Reed of Ayrshire, Pam Colee of Pocahontas and Judy (Rick) Krips of Havelock. Garry was preceded in death by his parents.
