Gerald W. Ricklefs – age 59, of Pocahontas, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at his home in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Gerald Wayne Ricklefs was born on March 13, 1962 near Manson, Iowa. He was the son of Lowell and Gloria (Hasenbank) Ricklefs. Gerald was raised in Palmer, where he graduated from Palmer Consolidated Schools in 1980. On March 18, 1989, Gerald was united in marriage to Donna Barnett at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Palmer, Iowa. The couple settled in Pocahontas, where Gerald worked for Buske Manufacturing, and then at Iowa Industrial Hydraulics. He then worked for Dodgen Industries in Humboldt and was currently working at Brand FX near Pocahontas.

Gerald was a member of the Regular Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music, watching Iowa State Athletics and spoiling his Beagles.

Survivors include his wife, Donna, of Pocahontas; daughter, Rindi Ricklefs of Pocahontas; siblings, Thomas (Vicki) Ricklefs of Pocahontas, Denise (Jim) Hodgell of Laurens and Pat (Mike) Horrocks of Manson; sister-in-law, Debra Ricklefs Telfer (Gary); brother-in-law, Dennis Kretlow (Becky) and many nieces and nephews.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Steve and Gary Ricklefs and a sister, Becky Kretlow.
