H. Michael Richeson, age 67, of Pocahontas, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023, at home in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Harold Michael Richeson was born October 10, 1955, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was the son of Harold and Hazel (Klocko) Richeson. He grew up in Pocahontas and then in the early 1970's moved with his family to Japan where his father was stationed with the U.S. Army. Mike graduated from Kubasaki High School in Okinawa, Japan in 1974. He then returned to the U.S. where he attended Harbor College in Wilmington, California. Mike worked as a manager for Sears in their key and engraving department. In 1993, he began working for H&R Block as a tax preparer, then in 2010 worked in tax preparation with his sister, Delana for one season before operating his own tax service.

Mike enjoyed collecting stamps, photography, playing chess, working sudoku and solving other puzzles.

Michael is survived by his brothers and sisters, Delana Ugas, Steven Richeson, Monty (Joe) Richeson, Jay (Laura) Richeson and Yolanda (Yodi) Richeson; nieces, Emily Rodriguez, Danielle (Bob) Antoine, Samantha (Davina) Noa, Courtney Richeson, Malia Yandall and Nai'a Yandall, and great nephews, Isaac Ugas and Levi Rodriguez. He is also survived by his Aunt Marlene Bart of Emmetsburg, IA, Uncle Bill (Cheri) Klocko of Pocahontas, IA, and Aunt Carolyn Johnson of Pocahontas, IA.

Michael was preceded in death his parents, Harold and Hazel Richeson and brother, Randal Richeson, Mike will never be forgotten but always loved and remembered by his family.
