Jackie M. Meier - age 82, of Pocahontas, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice House in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Jacqueline Marie Fountain was born on June 23, 1937, in Logan, Iowa. She was the daughter of Bernard and Corretta (Gordon) Fountain. Jackie attended Logan High School and received her GED. Jackie was united in marriage to Arlon Meier on October 12. 1953, at the Christian Church in Logan, Iowa. The couple lived in Logan, Iowa. In 1966, they moved to Pocahontas where they settled and raised their family. Jackie began working at the Pocahontas Community Hospital at it's opening in 1967. She held several positions at the hospital where she worked for many years until retirement. Arlon passed away in 2006 and Jackie continued to make her home in Pocahontas.

Jackie was a member of the Hope United Methodist Church. She served as an EMT. She enjoyed sewing doll clothes, reading, gambling and was a collector of Blue glass.

Jackie is survived by her children, Deb Fielder of Des Moines, David Meier of Pocahontas, Diana (Hank) Yocum of Pocahontas and Doug (Lori) Meier of Mannford, OK; grandchildren, Carmen (Aaron) McCreery, Sarah Yocum, Katie (Tony) McCreery, Abby (Tricia) Homann, Jonathan Meier, Joshua (Ashley) Meier, Mathew Rivers, Jacquline Fielder, Gabrielle Fielder, Jacob Meier, Randi Meier, Cheyenne Meier and Sydney Meier; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and two brothers-in-law, Lowell (Delores) Meier and Lyle (Pat) Meier.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arlon and six siblings.
