Private family graveside services will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Pocahontas on Friday, November 20, 2020, with Fr. Craig Collison officiating.

James E. Zeman – age 66, of Pocahontas, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at his home in Pocahontas, Iowa.

James Edward Zeman was born on June 8, 1954, in Emmetsburg, Iowa. He was the son John and Lavon (Auten) Zeman. He attended Rolfe High School. Jim married Kim S. and from this union were two sons, Mike and Matt. He worked at E.R. Buske Manufacturing for a short time and then moved to Jefferson where he did odd jobs and worked as a farm hand. Jim married Frances Blaha and from this union were two daughters, Jamie and Jessica. They lived in southern Iowa where Jim did construction work. In the late 1990's he returned to Pocahontas.

Jim enjoyed gardening raising both vegetables and flowers. He also loved doing mechanic work on both cars and trucks.

Survivors include his children, Mike, Matt, Jamie, Jessica and grandchildren; sister, Louise (Mark) Gerrard of Pocahontas; brother Joe (Lory) Zeman of Pocahontas and several nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Louis Zeman.
