Jamie L. Brazel – age 43, of Laurens, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021, in Laurens, Iowa.

Jamie Lynn Vaudt was born on July 18, 1978, in Lake City, Iowa. She was the daughter of James and Karen (Cook) Vaudt. She graduated from Laurens-Marathon High School in 1998. Jamie attended Iowa Lakes Community College for one year, then attended Faust School of Cosmetology in Storm Lake. On July 31, 1999, Jamie was united in marriage to Nathan Brazel in Laurens. They lived in Laurens where Jamie worked as a cosmetologist for several years. She then worked as a receptionist at Pengo Co. for thirteen years.

Jamie was a member of the United Methodist Church. She loved being outdoors, gardening, canning, camping and grilling out. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Hailey of Pomeroy; brothers, Robert (Jody) Brockman of Laurens and David Brockman of Laurens; sister, Kelly (Justin) Reese of Laurens and several nieces and nephews.

Jamie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Logan Vaudt.
