Jan S. Herman, age 67, of Rolfe, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Jan Sue Brundage was born on June 15, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Howard and Mary Ann (Beck) Brundage. She graduated from Lakewood High School in 1974. She was united in marriage to Terry Frederiksen in Lakewood, Washington. The couple lived in various locations around the world while Terry served in the U.S. Army for 20 years. After his service they moved to Livermore, Iowa. They later divorced. In February of 2006, Jan was united in marriage to James Herman in Humboldt, Iowa.  Jan worked for Jack Links before retiring in 2018.

Jan enjoyed bowling, playing cards and bean bags.

Survivors include her children, Sabrina (Tim) Taylor, Jeremy (Raynee) Frederiksen and Derick (Bridget) Frederiksen; step-children, Jim Jr. (Rita) Herman, Michael (Erika) Herman and Amy Miller; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and siblings, Vincent Brundage, Barbara Coit and Karmen Brundage. Jan was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jim.
