In the early hours of November 6, 2021, Jane Ellyn Bollard, nee Carroll (74) of Pocahontas, Iowa and long-time resident of Kansas City, loving mother of three and mom to more, left this world. We each live our lives hopeful that we bring joy to those around us. We laugh, we love, we so often touch the lives of those we encounter. Jane was one of those people, doing her very best to show kindness to those around her and making them feel welcome and loved.

Jane Ellyn Carroll was born on May 19, 1947, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was the daughter of William and Virginia (Gross) Carroll.  Jane graduated from high school in Kansas City and settled in Kansas City following her education.  In 1994, Jane was united in marriage to Dan Bollard in Las Vegas. The couple lived in Lenexa, KS until 1997, when they moved to Pocahontas. Dan passed in 2006, and Jane continued to reside in Pocahontas. She had recently returned to Kansas City to live near her family.

Survivors include her three children, Vincent Guerra of Kansas City, Steven (wife Ruthie) Clark of Kansas City and Sandy Clark of South Fulton, TN; two grandchildren, Amanda and Allison Embrey of South Fulton, TN and great-grandson, Jackson Cranford of South Fulton, TN; step-children, Amy Bollard of Lenexa KS, Ted (fiancee Lori Hepton) Bollard of Tucson, AZ, and Tim Bollard of Pocahontas, IA; sister, Mary Barney of Wellsville, KS and brothers Dan, Bob, John, and Tim Carroll of Kansas City.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband, J. Dan Bollard; parents, Virginia and William Carroll; sister, Peggy McGinnis and brother, Bill Carroll Jr.
