Columbia, Missouri - Jean Marilyn Ludwig, 66, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 of COVID-19.  A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Varina with Father Collison officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Columbkille Cemetery, Varina.  Lampe & Powers Funeral Home in Lake City is assisting the family.

Jean was born on August 25, 1954, in Storm Lake, Iowa to Wilbur and Mary Ann Ludwig. One of twelve children, Jean knew the importance of family and loving each other. She was in a serious car accident at age 16. Due to her head injury disability, she lived in several rehabilitation homes in Iowa and then moved to Columbia, Missouri in 2011, to be closer to family. She loved listening to country music and watching CMT TV. Receiving photos and cards from family and friend was a joy to her. Her favorite foods were pizza and a daily Pepsi.

Jean is survived by 4 sisters, Marilyn (Doyle) Fonley, LaVon (Len) Eby, Ruth (Roger) Pehrson, Lori (Kenny) Lampe; 2 sisters-in-law, Karon Ludwig, Barb Ludwig; and 3 brothers, Dave (Charley) Ludwig, Ron Ludwig, Jon (Maureen) Ludwig; 16 Nieces and 9 Nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers- Allan Ludwig, Glen Ludwig; and 2 sisters- Janice DeMuth, Faye Peters.
