Joan M. Trenary – age 75, of Rolfe, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at the Pocahontas Community Hospital in Pocahontas, Iowa.
Joan Mae Gregory was born on January 24, 1944, in Rock Island, IL. She was the daughter of Luke and Magdelina (Kaufman) Gregory. She attended Laurens and Pocahontas High Schools. On July 13, 1963 Joan was united in marriage to Ronald Trenary at the United Methodist Church in Rolfe. The couple lived in Storm Lake for several years before settling in the Rolfe area. Joan operated a daycare for several years in Rolfe.
Joan enjoyed quilting, gardening and refinishing projects.
Survivors include her husband, Ron Trenary of Rolfe; children, Dennis (Mary) Trenary of Rolfe; Darla Trenary (Steve Grettenberg) of Dayton and Ron (Kristine) Trenary of Rolfe; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-greatgrandchildren; step-brothers, Spencer Van Roekel, Stevie Van Roekel and step-sister, Sara "Sally" Hamm.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dwight Trenary; sisters, Betty Campbell, Lois Holmberg, Laura Konradi and Connie Ahlers.
