Jon A. Olson – age 61, of Pocahontas, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

Jon Arthur Olson was born May 23, 1959, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was the son of Charles and Beverly Kaye (Hoffert) Olson. He attended school at Palmer then later graduated from Pocahontas High School in 1977. He lived in Palmer, Missouri Valley and Pocahontas and spent many years driving semis over the road for different companies. In 2013, he retired due to medical reasons.

Survivors include his son, David (fiancé Kayla Beckman) of Fort Dodge; mother, Kaye Olson of Pocahontas; siblings Dana (Jenifer) Olson of El Cajon, CA, Dallas (Lori) Olson of Pocahontas, Joel (Lynette) Olson of Greenfield, DeAnn (Marty) Cundiff of Pocahontas and Janelle (Dan) Moellers of Marshalltown; 12 nieces and nephews; uncle, Richard (Judy) Olson of Lee's Summit, MO; aunts, Darlene Goerner of Laurens and Kay Hoffert of Pocahontas and his special angel, Bill Sharp.

Jon was preceded in death by his father, Charles A. Olson; grandparents, C. Arthur and Elnora M. Olson and John and Stella Hoffert; aunt, Vera Ann Hauswirth and his Godmother, Ruth Williams.
