Joshua R. Montes – age 31, of Lanesboro, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at CHI Health Immanuel in Omaha, Nebraska.
Joshua Robert Montes was born September 30, 1990, in Alamosa, Colorado. He was the son of Mark Montes and Lisa DeSart. Josh graduated from Pershing County High School in Lovelock, Nevada in 2008. Following graduation, he attended Great Basin College in Carson City, Nevada. Josh lived in Carson City and Imlay, Nevada before moving to Lanesboro. He worked at Eagle-Picher Minerals while living in Nevada, then as a Dry Room Food Processor at Essentia Protein Solutions in Lytton.
Josh enjoyed reading, writing, target shooting, grilling and smoking meats, reading and collecting comic books, and relaxing with a drink in hand. He loved watching Philadelphia Eagles Football and especially loved spending time with family.
Survivors include his parents, Mark Montes and Lisa DeSart of Lanesboro; sisters, Ruthie Montes of Lanesboro and Gracie Montes of Ames; brother, Jackson Montes of Lanesboro; grandmother, Dolores Montes of Imlay and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Josh was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mike Montes and Richard and Wanda DeSart.
