Joyce A. Baker – age 82, of Rolfe, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at the Pocahontas Manor Care Center in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Joyce Ann Peterson was born on July 12, 1940, in Rolfe, Iowa. She was the daughter of Harley and Lottie "Betty" (Weaver) Peterson. Joyce graduated from Rolfe High School and later was united in marriage to Glede Baker. The couple settled in Rolfe and Joyce worked at the local grocery store, sold Avon and Tupperware for many years and walked beans. In 2017, she moved to the Pocahontas Manor Care Center.

Joyce helped her husband, Glede, volunteer on the Rolfe Fire Department. She enjoyed selling Avon and Tupperware, going to home interior parties and garage sales, cooking and baking, camping, playing cards, crocheting and sewing, and attending family gatherings.

Survivors include her daughter, Jayline Adams of Delmar; grandchildren, Jason Cejka, Ashley (Josh) Meier, Jamie Cejka, Heather (Matt) Velez and Chris Adams and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glede, daughter, Justine Cejka; brothers, Pete, Virgil, Roger and Harlis Peterson and sisters, Verene Baade, Donna Henderson, Betty Duncan, Shirley Wittrock, Evelyn McVay, Marilyn Sweet and Marlene Fridolfson.
