Judith G. Kmieciak - age 79, of Laurens, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at the Laurens Care Center in Laurens, Iowa.

Judith Germaine Gindt was born on March 10, 1943, in Edson, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Herman and Julia (Baertlein) Gindt. She graduated from Cadott Public High School in 1961. Judith attended U.W.E.C and Chippewa Valley Tech in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.   On June 20, 1964, Judith was united in marriage to Raymond Kmieciak in Boyd, WI. The couple settled in Thorp, WI. Judith worked doing data entry at ITT Finance for several years before becoming a fulltime homemaker. In 2004, Judith and Raymond moved to Laurens, Iowa.

Judith enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and doing embroidery work. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond of Laurens; children, Rosalinda (Myron) Heil of Eagle River, AK, Julianna DeBoe of Rockledge, FL and William (Sarah) Kmieciak of Laurens; grandchildren, Justin Heil of Green Bay, WI and Natasha (Brandon) Benjamin of Colorado Springs, CO and a sister, Essene Grote of Waconia, MN

Judith was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joanna Zubell.
