Lake City – June McCaulley, 87, died Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Shady Oaks Care Center in Lake City. Due to family health concerns, a private family service will be held with burial in the Lake City Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be left to the discretion of the family.

Clara "June" (Dial) McCaulley was born on June 2, 1934 at home in Greene County, Iowa to Dean and Lydia (Ritter) Dial.  She graduated from Lohrville High School in 1951 then attended AIB, graduating in 1953.  On June 11, 1955, June married Dr. James McCaulley at the Lohrville Methodist Church.  She worked at her husband's vet office and drove bus for the Lake City then Southern Cal schools and also did the mowing for the school for 30 years before retiring in 2006.  She was a member of the Lake City Union Church.

June is survived by her sons Larry (Kathy) of Maquoketa, Kurt (Erin) of Dewitt, and David (Kathy) of Nevada; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; sister Judy (Jim) Zimmerman of Lake City; and brother Barney (Pam) Dial of Lake City. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jim; brothers Beryl Dial, Merle Dial, and Gerald Dial; and sisters Retta Dial, Velma Blair, and Arlene Tasler.
