Kenneth A. Eral – age 96, of Pocahontas, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the Pocahontas Community Hospital in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Kenneth Anthony Eral was born on August 22, 1923 in Pocahontas, Iowa. He was the son of William J. and Elizabeth (Hudek) Eral. He graduated from Pocahontas High School in 1941. Kenneth served two years in the U.S. Navy during WW II. On April 28, 1951, Ken was united in marriage to Elaine Gannon at Sacred Heart Church in Pocahontas. The couple settled on the family farm west of Pocahontas where they lived for 68 years. He farmed with his brothers along with selling DeKalb seed corn for many years.

Kenneth was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church and was a 75 continued year member of the American Legion Post #18. Kenny enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing and cards with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine; daughter, Connie (Phil) Smith of Parker, CO; sons, Roger of Deephaven, MN and David (Laura) of Denver, CO; grandsons, Matthew Eral of Atlanta, GA, Bradly Eral of St. Louis, MO and Jack Smith of Parker CO; granddaughters, Amy and Carrie Eral of Denver, CO; two nieces and one nephew.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Adrian and Wayne (Anna) Eral.
